Embrace Your Inner Snail - Necklace with Peridot

This is your invitation to discover where the snail lives within yourself - a patient pace and the peace of knowing you are home.  

The snail invites us to imagine a different relationship with time. Contemplating our relationship with time is another way to embrace the mystery of life since time itself is a mystery. Time is the motion of change, a constant flow and movement - yet all we can ever experience is now. We live in the 'nowscape'. To cultivate a relationship with the reality of the present moment is a profound way to live.

This necklace is hand fabricated using traditional metalsmithing techniques in my home studio in Kitchener, Ontario.

The one-of-a-kind necklace is a tiny sculpture forged and fused in sterling silver. 
The pendant measures 2.2cm wide and 4cm tall. 

It includes a 4mm semi-precious rose-cut peridot stone set in fine silver. 

The chain is darkened sterling silver and closes with my handmade hook clasp. 
The chain measures 18.5 inches long.
