Aurora Post Earrings with Rhodolite Garnet

Aurora is the goddess who announces the dawn.
She flies in her chariot across the sky before the sun.
A purple mist of stars unfolds behind her.
She spreads flowers as she goes.
Each day begins with the beauty of her celebration.

Every morning I think about her invitation to new beginnings.
She encourages me to adopt a posture of openness to possibilities and to celebrate a new day of unfolding.

These earrings are hand-fabricated using ancient silversmithing techniques in my home studio in Kitchener, Ontario.  

They feature rhodolite purple garnet rose cut cabochons set in fine silver. 
The details that dangle from the stones are 10 karat gold. 
The post on the back of the earrings is sterling silver. 

The stones are approximately 7mm wide by 9mm long. 
The whole earring with the gold detail is 2.5cm long.
