Aurora is the goddess who announces the dawn. She flies in her chariot across the sky before the sun. A purple mist of stars unfolds behind her. She spreads flowers as she goes. Each day begins with the beauty of her celebration.
Every morning I think about her invitation to new beginnings. She encourages me to adopt a posture of openness to possibilities and to celebrate a new day of unfolding.

... This necklace is hand-fabricated using ancient silversmithing techniques in my home studio in Kitchener, Ontario.
The necklace features a purple rose cut sapphire cabochon. The stone is set in fine silver and sterling silver. The sapphire measures 11mm long by 9mm wide.
The gold details on the chain are 10 karat gold. The rest of the chain is sterling silver that has been darkened with a patina.
The chain is 20 inches long. It closes with a handmade hook clasp featuring my maker's stamp.
