This Ancient Love - Aphrodite Ring - Size 7

This ring is a part of my 'This Ancient Love' collection which is inspired by the words of a hymn by Carolyn McDade that speaks of the divine feminine. Here's the first verse: 

"Long before the night was born from darkness
Long before the dawn rolled unsteady from fire
Long before she wrapped her scarlet arms around the hills
there was a love

I named the rings in this collection after a specific goddess or an aspect of the divine feminine. This ring is named 'Aphrodite', the goddess of love.

This ring is hand-fabricated using ancient silversmithing techniques in my home studio in Kitchener, Ontario. 
It fits a US size 7. 

It features a mauve purple cabochon stone called 'phosphosiderite'. 
It measures 7mm x 5mm.
The stone is set in fine silver. 
10 karat gold surrounds the sublime stone. 
The remaining details are carefully crafted out of sterling silver. 

The face of the ring is approximately 1.8cm long x 2.3cm wide.
The band is 2mm wide.
