"Snowdrops awaken the Spring - not with trumpets blaring or fiery eye catching colour, but as a quiet collective who bow their heads in prayer.
They are a congregation that understands that their purpose is to look down at the earth in gratitude for the place out of which their growth emerged."
- Robin McGauley
This necklace is handcrafted out of quality sterling silver.
The chain is also handmade - each link is fabricate and soldered closed.
The chain is 19.5 inches long when worn on the last link and can be up to 2 inches shorter.
The chain closes with a handmade hook clasp.
The pendant is 3.4cm x 3.8cm.
There are three jump rings at the end of the chain. I added these intentionally as a symbol of commitment to reconciliation. This is a passion of mine. The three links represent the 'silver covenant chain' that was a treaty between indigenous people, especially the Haudenosaunee, and early settlers to Turtle Island to foster friendship, respect and peace between them. The chain was created in silver because if you don't tend to it then it tarnishes. A covenant of friendship, respect and peace needs to be nurtured with care. Wear this necklace as a reminder of the need for nurturing reconciliation.
