The day is at its fullest
and I've accomplished nothing.
I feel that guilt -
the kind that makes me wonder if I can trust even myself.
But I've grown tired of setting goals
and weary of my draining expectations.
I'm learning instead the meaning of poise,
how to listen to my longing
and follow where it leads.
I remember my soft childhood eyes
as I focused for hours on searching for beauty on the beach.
The white crystal stones were the best prize.
Adding them to the collection
on my bedside table made my heart feel full.
Forgiveness is hard work too.
Presence is a practice of the wise.
Go to the place where your breath feels free.
Seek the delights to be found.
The sky is open.
My path is clear.
From now on
my only responsibilities are
to be peace.

These earrings feature Natural Ocean Jasper cabochons.
So soft and gentle with white, purple, green and pink colours. A picture of tranquility.
They are set in fine silver and sterling silver which I darkened to give them an antique feel.
The earrings measure 1.6cm wide by 4.4cm long - measured from the top of the earring hook.
The title 'The Wisdom Hour' is from Macrina Wiederkehr who talks about the time after mid-day and before evening when we take stalk of and reflect on the work that we have accomplished that day.
"In the midst of our work, then, we begin to live with an awareness that although, hopefully, what we are doing will be of service to the world, it is our being in the world that is the essence of all we do."
"When you are alert, you will notice that different hues of light move through the day with you."
