I don’t think I know what it means to be mighty.
My goals have always been humbler than that.
Maybe humility is actually
The mighty force
This world needs.
- Robin McGauley
This necklace is handmade out of fine silver, sterling silver and 24k gold leaf. I use traditional fabrication silversmithing techniques.
The pendant measures 4.8cm in diameter.
It features a rose cut grey moonstone cabochon set in fine silver. It measures 12mm x 13mm.
The gold leaves are fused to fine silver using a traditional Korean technique called Keum boo.
The necklace is made with black silk cord. It is very high quality, made and Germany, and is typically used for stringing pearls. The brand is called "Griffin".
The necklace is 19 inches long. It closes with a handmade hook clasp. I also made the crimps out of sterling silver.
20% of the sales of my Oak collection will be donated to Five Oaks.
Five Oaks Centre is dear to my heart. It is a sacred place of radical hospitality. It is the place where my dreams of working at a retreat centre came true. I was the Program Director there for 9 years and loved my work. During the Covid-19 pandemic, Five Oaks is providing accommodation to migrant farm workers who need to be in quarantine for 14 days upon arrival in Canada. Financial support is needed to keep Five Oaks open and to support this important work. More information about Five Oaks is found on their website: www.fiveoaks.on.ca
Thank you for your support and generosity!
